Material quality

Downsizing is good 8/21/2026

While the aesthetics of the 24" electric range are above average, I would grade the performance and quality well below average. As many others have noted, the silver foil on the control knobs peel away to reveal an unsightly mottled white plastic surface underneath. I have replaced these knobs three times now, and I have since learned that to avoid these additional costs, it is best to remove them while using the oven for baking or roasting. The bottom floor of the oven is flimsy and has deformed at the back wall of the oven with an open crack at their intersection. The oven is temperamental and since the oven door is loose, I find it losing heat and causing uneven baking. The ceramic top surface scratches easily so using a cast iron Dutch oven or skillet leaves permanent marks. The bottom storage drawer is extremely flimsy and does not support the weight of pots, pans, or glass baking dishes. The price of this appliance demands far better quality control than I have experienced, so I would not recommend this brand.

Oven door doesn't shut snug on one side doe to bad hinge, bottom of the inside oven very flimsy when wiping out, it moves when pressures applied no very secure. After 6 months all oven knobs coating peeled off due to heat vents in the top of oven door right below knobs and using the touch control pad when oven in use is very difficult due to being too hot from the same reason knobs peeled from heat vent in top of door. I would highly not recommend this product.

So far, I'm very pleased with my new range. I needed a 24" size, and this was one of the few decent ones available. I haven't had a chance to do too much cooking yes, as I just finished my renovation yesterday, so will update further in the future. I am to to a flat top range, so I am getting used to it taking a little longer to heat a pot of water, but I'm getting there. The range is built very nicely, although the storage drawer is pretty cheaply made and not very sturdy.

Oven timer

Oven is fine but would have preferred clock/timer on backdrop. Only problem, the timer alarm - very faint beep (if in another room, can't hear it) and only beeps once. By comparison, our previous oven timer was very loud (could by heard upstairs) and continued beeping until shut off.

So far, my Haier 24" stove has not worked. The display does not work and only lights up for a second if you turn the oven dial. Needless to say, I have not used it yet. I am waiting for a service person to come to my house to look at and repair my stove. If you buy a new stove, please be advised that you can't replace it or get a new one without going through GE Service first™€"even if it doesn't work. I have also had an electrician return to my house to ensure there are no wiring problems; they installed a new 4-prong wire for it. If it ends up working, I like that it is a 24" stove and that it fits into my small space.

Bad bad quality!!

I™€™ve owned this stove for 2 years and I am very disappointed. It looked great but looks can be deceiving. Cooktop looks dirty even after cleaning. Oven door doesn™€™t stay closed tightly and hot air escapes. The worse part are the knobs. They are not stainless steel!!! They are a film over white plastic that comes off!! So impossible to clean properly without the finish getting ruined. Trying to find replacement knobs but can™€™t find any.

Possibly the worst stove I have owned. Having said that - the positives first: The stovetop works fine although the back larger burner gets unreasonably hot and stays that hot long after you turn it lower. After a few months you get used to using it differently. The other burners work fine except the top starts to look as though there is cracking underneath. Initially we called service and they ordered us a new cooktop - repeated that process 3 times until they could get one they could install and have it work. Each time the technician opened the box, the cooktop inside was cracked or had a problem on install. The oven is fine - temp is all wonky but we need to adjust the dial and haven't gotten to it yet. Not having a self clean option is disappointing but none of the new 24" stoves have it. Don't kid yourself, the steam clean is not useful. Another plus - it was the biggest interior space of any 24" oven I could find and that was the major reason we chose this model. In the negatives - when you use the oven the instrument panel area gets incredibly hot - even if the oven is set to 350. So you don't want to mess with the timer when the oven is on, nor turn on the light - a quick touch with your finger is the most you can manage. Also, the sides of the oven get so incredibly hot that they have melted the strip of trim on the adjoining cupboard (we have the slide in model). My daughter had the same stove in the suite she rented and had the same issues so its not an isolated situation. Both ranges bought around 2021. Awful. I guess if I couldn't find one as big on the inside I'd buy this one again but its the one appliance that is still very new in our renovated kitchen and I'd replace it in a heartbeat if I could find one this big on the inside without the other issues.

Stovetop is fine, the oven does not retain temperature. Very cheaply made and designed. The knobs are very hard to read and not placed in a way that they are readable to begin with. I don't think America should allow this imported product into the states - its a joke.

Aesthetically very handsome range. Glass cooktop requires a little more care and maintenance than i anticipated. Bottom drawer seems rather cheap/flimsy and is a very small storage space. I installed mine with the back steel plate flush with the surface. I haven't yet tested out the convection oven yet.

This Haier 24" is less than 2 years old, and 2 elements have suddenly stopped working. But they come on when I turn the knob for one of the other two elements! A switch has failed or wires have crossed... no warranty now of course.

The 1 year limited warranty is terrible. My oven is less than 2 years and just stopped working. GE/Haier tech (who was great) said the oven switches are bad which means ordering parts and another service call.

Large burner towards the back, easy reach controls

It is a great fit for our small kitchen. The oven and the burners work great! Energy efficient too. I am not turning on a huge oven to bake a sheet of cookies. I like the particular feature where there is one large burner is towards the back. This helps the vent to exhaust the steam and fumes easily. Controls are to the front which allows mximum use iof exhaust fan above.

This piece is solid. Well built. I love the flat top. Drawer under oven. Great fit for my compact kitchen. I think I made a good choice choosing it even though this appliance was bought unseen The Lowes associate and I went through the reviews. We liked what we read. The size was right. The drawer under oven. Excellent. The flat top. Everything what I wanted. The appliance was built to last. The only thing I wish it had the knobs would illuminate so I could see which heat index it was set on. The numbers on the knob could have been illuminated or on the face where the knobs are located. That is why I gave it 4 stars. Very good appliance.

Fire danger!

I would not recommend this oven. This oven is just 3 years old and is defected. The interior of the door has molded so it releases air and is burning my cabinets. It is a complete fire hazard. I have spoken with management and they say typically they send someone out at no cost to fix it, since it is a fire hazard. However, because I live in the mountains and they don™€™t have one of their repair people near me, they said they would reimburse $250 which wil not even cover the cost of someone coming out, let alone repairs. Growing up I had another brand oven and it literally lasted 15 years. Not sure what the problem is with Haier and GE but this will be the last product I purchase from them.

Have wanted a small convection/glass top stove for years, & thanks be to Haier/GE for being the only company I could find with the foresight to make this product in 24 inch. Also thanks to Lowe's for their Memorial Day sale making it affordable for me! Have used the burners & convection oven twice, & they've worked perfectly. Will take a little time to get used to burners that get SO hot (& stay hot), but I will adjust. This range looks very nice & I'm loving it! Also, I have no issue with the oven light staying on until I turn it off, as some said theirs went off on its own. The drawer isn't the best, but I'm just glad to have one. So far, I'm super pleased with this purchase.

Took delivery on a Haier 24 inch electric range on November 11, 2020. The oven temperature light came on one day past the warranty period. Would turn off when the oven reached the proper temperature. Decided I would live with the problem. Presently, the oven will not maintain the temperature when set for a specific number. Set for 350, oven temperature exceeds 550. Glass in door looks to be 'cooked'. Service man from the store is unable to find source for parts. Everything is back ordered. Hard to believe I paid $1200 + for an electric range and oven that only lasted two years and three months. Would not recommend these products!

You have good reviews and I hope range lasts for a long time. Everyone complains about the drawer. This issue is in most reviews, yet you do nothing about it. It cannot be difficult to design a usable drawer with a decent track for opening and closing.

Let me start by saying that the functionality of the range is great, even heating on all of the burners and the oven. The look is exactly what we hoped for our small kitchen, clean lines and shiny surfaces. These things are as they should be for this price range. But, and I am disappointed to have to point these things out, the build quality is pretty poor. The storage bin is as flimsy or worse than ranges costing 1/3 of the price, the oven rack guides no longer support the racks due to warping of the inner walls that hold them in place, again, flimsy materials. The touch pad buttons are insanely sensitive and even the slighted graze will cause functions to turn on or off. Cleaning the top vent is impossible as you can™€™t remove the upper vent to access what needs to be cleaned even though it is very visible. Lastly, the front vent exhausts hot air directly into the control knobs causing the foil covering to bubble and peel off with a sponge and soapy water. The foil that remains on the plastic knobs is looking burned. After finding the insultingly high price of replacement knobs(each knob is priced as high as complete set of generic knobs) we™€™ve decided to ride it out with our flaking and somewhat white knobs. I am not happy to write these things as we were super excited to purchase the range but I would not recommend this unit to anyone that is going to use it the way it was designed to be used. If you want to buy it and have it just sit in your kitchen, it is gorgeous.

problem with cleaning vent area

I am pleased with this range; but,there is no practical way to clean under the vent area between the back splash and the element top. It would be a problem if you couldn't see the grease build up. I will have to invent a device to clean that area under the vent grate. keeping my stove clean was the reason I bought a flat top. Not good for a premium priced product. Other than that this is a great stove.

Great look and size

I cannot comment on performance yet as I literally just installed this unit. However I do like the look and size of it right away. Installation was simple, however I deducted a star based on how it arrived. Upon unboxing I found four loose screws at the bottom. So I searched to see if I could identify where they came from. I was able to find where two of them went, but the other two are still a mystery. And during my search, I also found several other very loose screws that I had to tighten up. So that was a little disappointing right out of the box. The plastic film used to protect the surfaces during transport is appreciated however when it is not easily removed that is frustrating. For example, it is under/behind the handle on the drawer. Also, the adhesive on the tape that secured various pieces for transport is not easily removed either. So I had to really clean those areas hard (ie backsplash) before putting into service. Relatively minor gripes, but annoying nonetheless. Otherwise initial impressions are good. If I find otherwise after using it then I will update my review.

The oven looks great! The temp runs cooler than I™€™d hoped, only to 450 (my previous hotpoint 24 inch went to 500) which is a bummer for making pizza. As others have said, bottom drawer is flimsy but at least we have a drawer (our hotpoint didn™€™t have one). Take a bit to preheat as well. Wish it had a light for knowing when the oven is on - feel this is a hazard. There™€™s only a light for when it™€™s preheating that shuts off when it comes to temp but no way of quick glance knowing the oven is simply on. Timer is pretty quiet too. Overall it does the job (and looks great) so though I™€™m not thrilled with overall performance as I™€™d hoped we are sticking with it.

Poorly placed control pad

Overall, this product performs well - hits set temperatures in the oven and is stable, no complaints with the top burners. One huge issue is that the keypad to control the oven is placed directly over a vent and gets wildly hot if the oven is set to higher than 250C (it could cause serious burns and is uncomfortable to change settings when oven is in use). It's also starting to get a little warped from the heat after using regularly for about 10 months -- when I press the buttons, it requires a bit more force to select since the screen appears to "bubble out" and makes a small popping noise like it's delaminating underneath. For the price of a tiny oven like this one, this feels unacceptable to me. I'm not sure if I would repurchase knowing what I do about the control/key pad near the vent and I doubt it will work properly in 2 years.

We love the Haier line of small appliances. This range fits perfectly with the Haier 24" over-the-range microwave. The only thing that you (Haier) need to improve is the lighting of the clock (the microwave has the same issue). Since these two products typically install together, there needs to be a way to turn off the clock. It could be set up so the clock can be darkened until the oven door is opened. Then it returns to its normal lighting.

High quality in a small 24" range!

We were looking for a quality 24" electric range as we remodeled the small 6' x 8' kitchen in our "new to us" home.. Found so many small apartment sized stoves were cheaply made. Then we saw this Haier model. Exactly what we hoped for! Heavy duty main stainless steel cabinet with large knobs, large glass window in door, glass top, convection oven (which by the way is the largest oven size you can find in a 24" stove - yes there are different oven sizes!), digital timer & clock, plus a hot burner indicator light! Optional mounting back splash & bottom drawer could be heftier, but they're doable. Also, the 1" wide upper inner door/window reflective flashing liner came loose & fell, so it is making itself known hanging in the stove window now. Overall, we love the stove, friends & family complement it, & it cooks great! We recommend this stove, but don't expect the price to be small. It's priced at comparable full sized stove prices.

This is a very smart looking range for a 24" and I like the option of choosing whether I want to use a radiant heat oven or convection oven. I had to adjust the oven temperature via the knob as it was 25 degrees off but that wasn't difficult. The clock is nicely lit. So far I can't fault this range.
